Good questions, straight answers

Are You Licensed and Insured?

Do strata and body corporate properties need anything different?

Not from you. We handle the paperwork strata usually asks for, including invoices that name the common property and the unit affected. We're licensed and insured, water and gas, so committees can sign off without extra steps. Tell us it's a strata job when you call and we'll bring what's needed.

What should I do first if I smell gas?

Leave the area straight away and skip anything that could spark. Get outside, then call us or 000 if it's severe. Gas work is only handled by appropriately licensed tradespeople, which is exactly what you'll get when we arrive.

Is my property covered while you're working?

Yes. Cover runs for water and gas plumbing alike, so the whole visit is protected, not just part of it. That's on top of the Quality Workmanship Guaranteed we put behind every job. Ask to see the licence number on arrival if you'd like.

How long does the Lifetime Labour Warranty last?

It's a lifetime warranty, so there's no cut-off date. Should our labour ever let you down later, we're back on site to fix it. We'd rather stand behind the work than just talk about it. Ask us which jobs it applies to when we quote.

Booking a Callout

What counts as an emergency?

Anything that's actively damaging your home or risking safety: burst pipes, no hot water, blocked toilets that won't clear, gas smells, or water pooling where it shouldn't be. Not certain either way? Call anyway. We'd rather talk it through than have you guess wrong.

How do I know if my problem can wait until morning?

If nothing's flooding, nothing smells like gas, and the rest of your home still works normally, a standard booking is usually fine. A dripping tap or slow drain can wait. Water pooling, no hot water for a household, or any gas smell should never wait.

Do you take calls on Christmas Day and other holidays?

Yes, we're open 24 hours every day of the year, holidays included. A real person answers, day or night. Plumbing problems don't check the calendar, so neither do we.

What information do you need when I call?

Your address, what's happening (leaking, no hot water, blocked, gas smell), and whether it's actively getting worse. If you can safely check where the water's coming from, that helps too. A couple of quick questions and we're on our way.

Fair, Upfront Pricing Explained

Is GST included in your pricing?

Yes, every price we give you is the final figure, GST and all. There's nothing added once the invoice lands. That's part of fair, upfront pricing, no surprises, agreed before we start work, not after.

Do you ever charge more once you're already on site?

No. Whatever we agree with you upfront is the figure that lands when we're finished. If something changes once we're into the job, we'll stop and talk you through it first. Best Price Guaranteed means that price doesn't move without you knowing.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, it's a $0 call-out fee, every visit. You pay for the work, not for us turning up to look at it. That applies whether it's a daytime booking or an after-hours emergency.

Do you charge more for older homes or hard-to-reach pipes?

Harder access can affect the price, and we'll always explain why before you approve anything. What doesn't change is the promise: a fair, upfront figure agreed on site, never a surprise on the invoice. You'll always know the figure ahead of the work.

Abbotsford Homes and Their Pipes

Are Abbotsford homes near the water more prone to corrosion issues?

Yes. Properties along the Parramatta River foreshore, including near the old Sydney Rowing Club at Abbotsford Point, sit in brackish tidal air that speeds up corrosion on exposed pipes and fittings. We check external plumbing on these jobs routinely, not just the fitting you called about.

How does Abbotsford's housing density affect emergency response?

Abbotsford mixes standalone houses with apartment blocks, so we come prepared for either. A burst pipe in a freestanding home is a different job to a flexi-hose failure in a unit near the sailing club at the water's edge. Either way, the same crew, same pricing, same guarantee.

Do apartments in Abbotsford have different plumbing issues to houses?

Often, yes. Units commonly run into shared hot water or stack issues and flexi-hose failures under sinks. Older houses on the Federation-era streets deal more with ageing clay drains and root intrusion. We treat each on its own facts rather than a one-size-fits-all fix.

Do you service both older and newer parts of Abbotsford?

Yes, the whole suburb. That covers Federation-era houses on the older streets right through to the newer waterfront apartments. Even the low-lying stretches, where storm season adds extra load on stormwater drains. Same team, same response, wherever the address is.
